The Beggar's Dance

Oh Lord  I am a late night beggar  Crashing to her end.  The world is asleep  with magical dreams enchanting their minds.  While I sit here in self pity.  With no one but you to talk to.  Someone who doesn't even respond.   
Anger  Sadness  Envy  Disappointment  Regret  Suicide  All cater my mind  I clutch my blanket  crying out - " Don't you feel my pain!  
                      Can you feel it!?"   
I know my hurting isn't a tragedy.

The massacreI lay here in a ball  Shaking and naked  Humiliated  The pain pours out around me  Engulping me in my irreality  Leaving me with its red stains on my delicate heart  And open wounds enchasing my back  I was whipped  
Whipped I tell you  Beaten  
The blood splattered on their canvas  Painting their picture  With my innocent blood that was raped from beneath my skin  And after it was all over  They looked at me with big grim  And laughed with a devilish eye  For they had over powered me  
Forcing me into a corner  And changing my being  It was ever so The massacre

What would you say if I told you I was at work cutting open a box...During this time I was talking like that guy off animal planet who is Australian and catches aligators....And I was also acting like I was fighting/killing alligator that was really a box..... would you say

This was originally from a Pearls Before Swine excerpt. It's a great comic if you're into them.


The phrase "ignorance is bliss" always comes to mind in most situations, the quotes from Pearls Before Swine, is a similar idea.


Sometimes we cannot change certain things, sometimes we can.
